PlayBlue's online store doesn't exist yet. You're going to build it - the platform, the catalog, the conversion engine, the quick commerce operation. And then scale it into a serious business. If you've done this before and want to do it again with full ownership, read on.
What you'll own
Start with the foundation. You'll help pick the stack - platform, payments, OMS, shipping, CRM, analytics and make the calls that everything else gets built on. Site structure, product taxonomy, navigation, merchandising logic - all of it goes through you. Before launch, you'll own catalog hygiene, product content, and inventory coordination. After launch, you'll scale nationally and own the revenue number. On the business side, you'll work with brand and growth on campaigns, seasonal drops, and digital GTM that actually move product. You'll partner with the buying team on assortment, pricing, sell-through, and online exclusives. You'll build dashboards that tell you what's working, what's broken, and what needs to scale - and then you'll act on them. The goal is to make e-commerce a repeatable, self-sustaining business. Not a founder-dependent one.
What we're looking for
5–9 years in e-commerce, digital commerce, or online retail - and you've launched or meaningfully scaled an online channel, not just managed one someone else built. You understand the full funnel from acquisition to retention and you're comfortable owning a revenue number, not just an execution checklist. You're a strong operator: strategic when it matters, in the weeds when it doesn't. Fast in ambiguous environments, honest with data, good with numbers.
Experience in consumer, retail, apparel, footwear, sports, or lifestyle categories helps. A real understanding of how Indians shop online helps more. Bonus points if you've built a multi-brand e-commerce business, balanced brand-building with hard commerce metrics, or both.
